In 2001, Accelink was reestablished from Solid Device Institute (SDI), which was found in 1974 and be a subsidiary company of Wuhan Research Institute of Posts & Telecommunications (WRI). The company specializes in the research, development and manufacturing of passive optical components, optical instruments and integrated photo-electronic devices. As the host of Wuhan Branch of National Photo-electronic Technology Centre, Accelink has undertaken more than 30 important projects for China's 863 program and other national key technologies programs. It makes a significant contribution on the development of the optical communication industry in China.

Accelink's major production lines include: 1) a full range of erbium doped fiber amplifier(EDFA) for DWDM, CATV, long haul and metro applications; 2) filter based 100GHz and 200GHz DWDM Mux/Demux; 3) various optical fiber connectors; 4) a high yield production line of optical fiber collimator, isolator and circulator; 5) a broad line of optical fiber couplers and WDMs that are based on fused biconic taper technique; 6) optical source and optical test instruments. Currently Accelink occupies over 25,000 square feet manufacturing site with 5,000 square feet clean room in a modern style building. It has 2,000,000 set component/module manufacturing capacity per year with customer design, low cost, fast delivery ability.
